Below is a list of ministries and ministry opportunities created to help every member connect, serve, grow, and become fully engaged in the life of our church. We invite you to explore each one—there’s a place for everyone to get involved and make a difference!



ADMINISTRATION / EXECUTIVE


CHURCH OFFICE / OFFICE HELP – The Church Office operates under the leadership of the Pastor and is supported by an Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities include maintaining church records, managing computer applications, preparing mailings and correspondence, and assisting in the development of worship aids.


DEACONESS – The Deaconesses are women of strong spiritual character and active, faithful members of the church. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, regularly gathering for prayer, preparing and arranging communion services, visiting the sick and bereaved, and organizing hospitality for the Pastor and congregation.


DEACONS – The Deacons are spiritually mature men of integrity, known for their leadership in both the church and the broader community. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as spiritual advisors to the Pastor and congregation, ensuring that all elements necessary for worship services are prepared, and partnering with the Deaconesses in the distribution of benevolence. Additionally, they help ensure that the church’s business affairs are conducted in an orderly, ethical, and accurate manner.


FACILITIES MANAGEMENT – Facilities Management is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and custodial care of the church’s interior spaces, as well as the coordination and management of room and space usage. This team reports to the Trustees and the Pastor’s Office, offering recommendations and updates as needed to ensure the church environment remains clean, functional, and welcoming.


GROUNDS MANAGEMENT – Grounds Management is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all outdoor areas of the church, including lawns, landscaping, grounds, and parking lots. This team reports to the Trustees and the Pastor’s Office, providing recommendations and updates as needed to ensure the exterior of the church remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained.


HEALTHCARE TEAM – The Healthcare Team provides care, support, and health awareness within the church and community. This ministry offers first aid during services and events, promotes health education, and may assist with screenings, wellness checks, and emergency response. Their mission is to serve with compassion by safeguarding physical well-being while reflecting Christ’s love through service.


INFORMATION TECHNOLOLGY (IT) MINISTRY - The Information Technology Ministry supports the church’s mission by maintaining and enhancing all digital and technological systems. This includes managing church hardware and software, supporting online platforms (such as the church app and website), and assisting other ministries with technological needs. The IT Ministry ensures that digital tools run smoothly, securely, and effectively to help communicate the Gospel, streamline operations, and support both in-person and virtual ministry activities.


MINISTRY PLANNING – The Ministry Planning Team functions as an extension of the Senior Pastor’s office, providing leadership and oversight for ministry events within the church. This team may directly plan and coordinate events or serve as a resource to support ministry leaders in the planning and execution of their events, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision and goals.


PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY - The Pastoral Care Ministry provides spiritual support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals and families within the church. This ministry offers prayer, visitation, counseling, and assistance during times of illness, bereavement, life transitions, or personal crisis. Working closely with the Pastor and other care teams, the ministry helps ensure that no member walks alone, demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ through presence, prayer, and support.


PASTORAL OFFICE – The Office of the Senior Pastor provides overall spiritual and administrative leadership to the church. Responsibilities include preaching and teaching, managing both paid and volunteer staff, overseeing the ordinances and worship services, and offering pastoral counseling to those in need. The Pastor serves as an ex officio member of all church ministries and organizations and represents the church in community and public affairs.


SECURITY / SAFETY MINISTRY - The Security / Safety Ministry is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all who attend worship services, events, and activities at New Days Community Church. Team members are trained to remain vigilant, respond to emergencies, and ensure the protection of members, visitors, and property. With a spirit of calm, service, and discretion, this ministry works to maintain order and peace, allowing everyone to worship freely and without distraction.


TRUSTEES – The Trustees are a state-mandated body responsible for the oversight and management of the church’s physical property. They hold the title to all real and personal property belonging to the church, ensure appropriate insurance coverage is maintained, and premiums are paid timely, and monitor the use and condition of church facilities. Trustees provide regular reports to the Pastor concerning the maintenance and well-being of the church’s physical assets.



ADULT & YOUTH DISCIPLESHIP


CHILDREN’S & YOUTH MINISTRY –The Children’s and Youth Ministry provides exciting opportunities for young people across various age groups to engage in church life. Activities include Children’s Church, field trips, weekly meetings, Bible study, and social events—each designed to be age-appropriate and spiritually enriching.


MEN’S MINISTRY – The Men’s Ministry, often called Men of Integrity, seeks to inspire and equip men to live according to God’s Word, becoming spiritual leaders in their homes, churches, and communities. Through Bible study, fellowship, service projects, and mentoring, this ministry encourages men to grow in faith, character, and leadership, shining as examples of Christ’s love and integrity.


NIGHTLY PRAY CONFERENCE –The church hosts a nightly prayer call at 6:30 PM CST, which includes scripture reading, a devotional message, prayer requests, a time of prayer, and church announcements or updates.

SINGLE ADULTS – The Single Adult Ministry is designed to support, equip, and connect single adults by providing meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and service. Through Bible studies, social events, and educational programs tailored to the unique needs of single adults, this ministry fosters a strong community where individuals can deepen their relationship with Christ and build lasting friendships.


WOMEN’S MINISTRY – The Women’s Ministry exists to nurture and empower women of all ages to grow deeper in their faith and become strong, effective witnesses for Christ. Through Bible studies, fellowship events, service opportunities, and mentoring, this ministry encourages women to develop a closer relationship with God and support one another in their spiritual journeys.



CHRISTIAN EDUCATION


SUNDAY SCHOOL – The Sunday School Ministry offers structured Christian education through age-appropriate classes designed to nurture spiritual growth and biblical understanding. Held each Sunday morning before worship services, these classes provide opportunities for learners of all ages to deepen their knowledge of Scripture, build fellowship, and apply biblical principles in their daily lives.


TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY – Our Tuesday Night Bible Study meets weekly at 7:00 PM via virtual sessions. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS) –The Vacation Bible School (VBS) Ministry provides a fun, educational, and spiritually enriching program for children and adults of all ages during the summer months. Through engaging Bible lessons, music, arts and crafts, games, and activities, VBS helps children grow in their faith and develop a deeper understanding of God’s Word. This ministry creates a joyful and welcoming environment where kids can learn, make friends, and experience the love of Christ.



CONNECTION


COMMUNICATION TEAM – The Communication Team is responsible for sharing the message and ministry of the church in clear, creative, and effective ways. This team helps connect members, guests, and the community by managing church communications such as announcements, social media, printed materials, and digital outreach. Their goal is to ensure that everyone is informed, inspired, and engaged.


FIRST TIME VISITOR’S MINISTRY - The First Time Visitor’s Ministry is dedicated to warmly welcoming newcomers to our church family. This ministry provides a friendly point of contact, answers questions, offers information about church programs and services, and helps visitors feel comfortable and connected. Through personalized follow-ups and invitations to events, this ministry seeks to encourage first-time visitors to engage fully and become part of the church community.


VISITORS FOLLOW-UP TEAM – The Visitors Follow-Up Team reaches out to first-time and returning guests to ensure they feel welcomed, valued, and connected. This team provides timely follow-up through calls, texts, emails, or cards, answers questions about the church, and helps guide visitors toward deeper involvement in worship, fellowship, and ministry. Their goal is to turn guests into family.


NEW MEMBER’S ORIENTATION – New Members Orientation is designed to welcome and equip those who have recently joined the church. This ministry introduces new members to the church’s vision, beliefs, leadership, and ministries, while helping them discover their gifts and opportunities to serve. Its purpose is to build strong connections and lay a foundation for spiritual growth and active involvement.



EVANGELISM / OUTREACH


COMMUNITY EVANGELISM MINISTRY - The Community Evangelism ministry is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and reaching out to the local community with the love and message of Jesus Christ. Through outreach events, service projects, and personal evangelism, this ministry seeks to build relationships, meet practical needs, and invite people into a transformative faith journey.


FEEDING ON THE GREENS - New Days partners with several local churches, ministries, organizations, and businesses to address food insecurity in our community. We provide meals for the homeless and hungry on our campus during predesignated times. In addition, clothing, non-perishable snacks, and other essential items are distributed to those in need.


I GOT MY ONE (Churchwide Evangelism) - I Got My One is a churchwide evangelism initiative encouraging every member to intentionally reach out to at least one person with the Gospel. This ministry emphasizes personal relationships, prayer, and discipleship, empowering the congregation to actively share their faith and invite others into the church family. Each member is strongly encouraged to minister to at least one person, resulting in their joining the church.


JAIL AND PRISON MINISTRY - The Jail and Prison Ministry is committed to bringing hope, healing, and the message of Christ to incarcerated individuals. Through regular visits, Bible studies, counseling, and prayer, this ministry supports inmates in their spiritual growth and rehabilitation, while fostering encouragement and connection with the church community.


NURSING HOME MINISTRY – The Nursing Home Ministry extends the love of Christ to residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This team provides the ‘ministry of presence’, prayer, fellowship, and encouragement to those who may feel lonely or forgotten. The goal is to share God’s Word, bring joy, and remind each resident that they are valued and not alone.


PATH - New Days partners with PATH (People Attempting to Help) to assist community members with essential items. PATH’s mission is to restore hope with a personalized approach that empowers our East Texas neighbors to thrive in the community.


SALVATION ARMY - New Days partners with The Salvation Army, an international evangelical movement and part of the universal Christian Church. Motivated by the love of God and grounded in the Bible, The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name, without discrimination. Together, we assist community members with vital resources.


SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER MINISTRY - The Social Media Influencer Ministry leverages digital platforms to share the message of Christ, inspire faith, and connect with a wider online audience. Working closely with the Evangelism and Outreach Ministries, influencers post inspiring, accurate, and evangelistic content across all social media channels. This ministry also equips members to use their social media presence intentionally and responsibly, creating uplifting content that reflects the church’s values and reaches people where they are.



FELLOWSHIP & HOSPITALITY


CHURCHWIDE QUARTERLY FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY - The Churchwide Quarterly Fellowship Ministry organizes and hosts social gatherings every quarter to foster community, build relationships, and strengthen the bonds among church members and attendees. These events provide opportunities for fellowship, celebration, and shared experiences that encourage spiritual growth and unity within the church family.


ENCOURAGEMENT MINISTRY – The Encouragement Ministry collaborates with the Minister of Visitation and/or The Pastor of Pastoral Care to offer greeting cards and other acts of kindness to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, career promotions, and retirements. Additionally, this ministry reaches out to those experiencing sickness or bereavement to provide comfort and support.


EVENT PLANNING / SETUP – The Event Planning / Setup team coordinates and prepares church events to ensure they run smoothly and effectively. This ministry handles logistics such as venue arrangement, decorations, equipment setup, and cleanup, working behind the scenes to create a welcoming and organized environment for attendees. Their goal is to support the church’s mission by making every event meaningful and seamless.


FELLOWSHIP / HOSPITALITY – Working alongside various ministries and the Ministry Planning Team, the Fellowship/Hospitality Ministry ensures that food and hospitality needs are met during ministry events, including funeral repasses, creating a welcoming and caring environment for all attendees.




WORSHIP AND FINE ARTS


AUDIO / VISUAL / MEDIA – The Audio/Visual Ministry Team is responsible for managing all sound, lighting, video, and multimedia equipment during worship services and church events. This team ensures that audio and visual elements run smoothly to enhance the worship experience and support the effective communication of the Gospel. Team members are trained to operate technical equipment and work closely with the worship and event leaders to meet the needs of the congregation.


DANCE MINISTRY – The Dance Ministry uses movement and dance as a form of worship and praise to God. This ministry provides opportunities for members to express their faith creatively through choreographed routines during worship services, special events, and outreach programs. It seeks to inspire the congregation, enhance the worship experience, and glorify God through the art of dance.


DRAMA MINISTRY – The Drama Ministry uses theatrical performances to communicate biblical truths and inspire spiritual growth within the church and community. Through skits, plays, and creative storytelling, this ministry brings Scripture to life, engages the congregation, and enhances worship services and special events. It offers members an opportunity to use their talents to minister and evangelize in a powerful and impactful way.


GREETERS – The Greeters Ministry is the church’s frontline of hospitality, providing a warm and friendly welcome to all who enter the doors. Greeters offer a smile, assist with directions, distribute church materials, and help visitors feel valued and comfortable. This ministry helps create a positive first impression, fostering an inviting atmosphere that encourages newcomers and regular attendees alike to feel at home.


MUSIC MINISTRY – The Music Ministry leads the church in worship through song, using a variety of musical styles to glorify God and uplift the congregation. This ministry includes choirs, praise teams, instrumentalists, and soloists who collaborate to enhance worship services, special events, and outreach programs. Members are encouraged to develop their musical talents and serve as worship leaders, helping to create a spirit-filled atmosphere where hearts can connect with God.


USHERS MINISTRY – The Usher Ministry serves as the church’s hospitality team, warmly welcoming attendees and providing assistance during worship services and special events. Ushers help with seating, distributing bulletins, collecting offerings, and maintaining order, ensuring a smooth and respectful worship experience for all. This ministry plays a vital role in creating a friendly and organized environment that reflects the love of Christ.
